BRR50 was as awesome as last year, and the weather was a bit cooler!
The weather was excellent and the trail incredibly beautiful. Actually, my favorite trail!
It is a challenging course. I met great people and had a blast! Literally for the entire race! I had no time in mind as I had very little training miles for this event, so I just wanted to enjoy the run, and I did!
Aid stations were phenomenal! The enthusiasm of the volunteers is so contagious that they truly lift your spirit when it is low!
And... the Popsicles! Yes, they were as good as last year!
Scott is really modest as he got his 50miler PR, which is amazing on this hard course! Julie ended up having her personal best on this race, beating her previous time.
We really had a great time!
But I think Scott should write the report as he should tell the story of his spectacular finish: he made a few runners eat dust and had the entire audience at the finish line applauding for him! Memorable! Prefontaine style! And he should talk about his singlet...
BRR50 won the first spot as my favorite race!
PS: I found THE aid station that hides booze! I'll tell you which one Chris, for next year!
Nice work guys! Looking forward to reading a write up. Seb, nice intro to it tho :) Sounds like another ultra I need to add to my calendar. Too bad I didn't know about it sooner to have ran it this year, sounds like a great race! Looking forward to seeing you guys out there!
