Congratulations on the PR, guys! It was the Mile 7 super-water, wasn't it? I spiked it with Splenda.

And congrats to Dom and everyone who ran this weekend! I ate donuts and drank mimosas.

Saw a guy at the Knickerbocker wearing what I thought was a MoMa shirt.  Was too much of a slowpoke to catch him when he lapped me.

Great job everybody.

Was a pretty neat race.  Not a larger NYRR race, but there were a lot of by accident spectators walking around Central Park.  People were asking what was going on, and from bikers to runners to people pushing baby carriages and walking their dogs, through out encouragements.

According to the results, the final finisher ended at 11:00 hours or so.  There were the speedy guys finishing under 5 hours.

I don't really have anything to compare it to.  I don't know if I will ever want to do that again, but I'm sure that will change as I get more miles under my feet.  Loops 6 and on were just horrid mentally.

Great job Charles! I wasn't sure if you decided to do the race or not.  Sounds like your marathon training is off to a good start!

Were you guys at the right-handed turn? I looked but saw nothing but screaming fans of the Jason 10 feet in front of me and endless spilled gatorade. I hope it wasn't a left handed turn.

Yep, we were at the right-hand turn. There was an arrow on the road pointing to Splenda and beer but it got trampled and smudged by Gatorade spills (damn sloppy runners).

RNR, I don't think any training really helped.  I been just running on whim when I could motivate myself.

I think the long finish was just overcoming that mental block.  Everything hurt so bad, I was cold.  It is tougher watching yourself get lapped and people one lap ahead of you.

I said I would never do that race again, but now that I have recovered some, hoping my conditioning will improve and I will PR with leaps and bounds.

Did the race because a friend of mine convinced me that we could do it.  He was actually hurting pretty bad and gave up on the last loop.
